Turtle Back Zoo Education Department is excited to offer professional learning opportunities for Teachers! Join experienced Educators for NGSS aligned professional development programs leveraging the resources of TBZ. Each session will cover the relevant scientific background, provide advice and materials for classroom implementation, and include a special animal encounter and time in the zoo. Two different workshops are currently available:
Thursday, March 6th, 2025 @ 9am-3pm
- Genetics and Zoo Conservation for Grades 6-12
Thursday, March 13th, 2025 @ 9am-3pm
- Heredity, Variation, & Environment for Grades K-8

Refunds and Cancellations: Cancellations by an individual may be made up to 7 days prior to the originally scheduled program date and time; no refunds will be offered less than 7 days prior to the original date and time. Cancellation requests may be made by contacting the Education Department at 973-731-5800 ext.103 or [email protected]. TBZ reserves the right to cancel programs at any time. In the event of a program being cancelled by TBZ, full refunds will be provided to registrants.
