Professional Development for Educators
Turtle Back Zoo Education Department is excited to offer professional learning opportunities for Teachers! Join experienced Educators for NGSS aligned professional development programs leveraging the resources of TBZ. Each session will cover the relevant scientific background, provide advice and materials for classroom implementation, and include a special animal encounter and time in the zoo. Two different workshops are currently available:
Thursday, March 6th, 2025 @ 9am-3pm
- Genetics and Zoo Conservation for Grades 6-12
Thursday, March 13th, 2025 @ 9am-3pm
- Heredity, Variation, & Environment for Grades K-8
